Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data IT Playbook collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the service you agree to this policy.

Who we are
IT Playbook ("we", "us") is an online learning service operated by Sergey Okinchuk. You can reach us any time at support@itplaybook.org or via our Support page.
Data we collect
We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the service:
- Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. We do not receive your Google password.
- Learning progress. Which pages you've viewed, which lessons you've listened to, and which quizzes you've completed, so your progress follows you across devices.
- Subscription & payment data. Your subscription status and billing history. Card details are entered on, and stored by, our payment processor (Stripe) — we never see or store your full card number.
- Preferences. Settings such as theme, playback speed, and notification choices, stored in your browser and your account.
- Technical data. Basic, standard server and CDN logs (e.g. IP address, browser type) used to operate and secure the service.
How we use it
- To provide the courses, save your progress, and sync it across your devices.
- To process subscriptions, trials, and payments.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the service.
- To send service-related and (with your consent) optional study-reminder or product emails. You can opt out at any time in Settings.
We do not sell your personal data.
Service providers we share data with
We rely on a small number of trusted providers, who process data only on our behalf:
- Google Firebase (Google LLC) — authentication, database, and hosting.
- Stripe, Inc. — subscription billing and payment processing. See Stripe's own privacy policy for how it handles payment data.
- Google Cloud — hosting, storage, and content delivery.
Cookies & local storage
We use cookies and browser local storage that are essential to sign you in and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
Data retention
We keep your account and progress data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data, except where we must retain limited records (for example, transaction records) to meet legal and accounting obligations.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Many actions are available directly in Settings; for anything else, email support@itplaybook.org and we'll help. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
International users
We operate from the United States, and your data may be processed there and in other countries where our providers operate. We take steps to protect it consistent with this policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, give you notice through the service.
